Karen is a marine scientist whose research focuses on plankton and nutrient cycles in the world’s oceans. She has visited and studied ocean ecosystems ranging from the Gulf of Maine, to the West Antarctic, to the South Pacific.

She grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and now lives in Camden, Maine with her husband and two dogs. As a board member, she aims to help develop holistic programming for MCRC residents, and help keep MCRC organized as it grows. Karen is excited and grateful to be part of the MCRC team, and to connect with and give back to the community.
